Overview
Sonus is designed as a local-first desktop application. Your audio files and sample library stay on your machine and are not uploaded to Sonus servers by default.
Account data
When you create an account, Sonus stores information needed to run your account, including email address, username, display name, licence status, administrator status, authentication provider, and registered machine records.
Payments
When you buy a licence, checkout and payment details are handled by the payment provider. Sonus stores the account licence result, not your full card number.
Local app data
The desktop app may create local metadata such as waveform data, BPM, key, collections, favorites, recent folders, and app settings. This data is stored on your device unless a feature clearly says it syncs online.
Machine management
Sonus stores machine identifiers, platform details, app version and last-seen timestamps to enforce account access limits and help you manage registered devices.
Service providers
Sonus may use third-party providers for authentication, database, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers process data only as needed to provide the service.
Retention
Account and licence records are kept while your account is active and as long as needed for support, fraud prevention, accounting, legal, or security reasons. You can request account deletion by contacting support.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your account data by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
